Arlington’s location, desirability, and continuous growth has caused housing prices to climb over the years. In 2019, the average home in the city sells for about $610,000, which is about four times the national median home sale price. Many of Arlington’s homes are historic, which adds charm for some and deters others.

Almost every night of the week, great live music ranging from Rock to Jazz can be found all over town. Galaxy Hut is a popular spot for larger, out of state bands, featuring a huge dance floor, specialty craft beers on tap, and a vegetarian-friendly menu. Samuel Beckett’s has acoustic guitar-playing Irish balladeers and amazing food. Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill, Rustico, or Highline RxR are a few more well- reviewed music joints.

With a rich military history in Arlington, the Army Ten-Miler has become a major attraction in Arlington. This is the third largest 10 mile road race in the world, and it benefits soldiers and their families.
